Description

Our client based in Ilkley is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a part time, temporary basis but could lead to permanent role for the right candidate.

Role and Responsibilities

Purchase ledger:

  • Input purchase invoices onto the AX Accounting System.
  • Maintain the invoice approval log.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and flag mismatched items to Procurement Team to resolve.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and clear queries.

 

Cash Expenses:

  • Check expense claim forms and clear queries.
  • Code expenses for input to AX Accounting System and input onto system.
  • Work with Company Accountant on payment of expense claims and reconciliation of NL accounts.

 

Company credit cards:

  • Prepare expense claim form for each credit card statement.
  • Distribute credit card statements and expense claim forms to card holders.
  • Review expense claim forms and expense vouchers when returned by card holders.
  • Process claims as per Cash Expenses.

Other:

  • General administration tasks including filing; year-end processes; monthly reconciliations.
  • other tasks as required by Finance Team.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • General all round finance experience.
  • Purchase Ledger experience preferred.
  • Comfortable with basic Excel functions (advanced skills not necessary).
  • Experience of using an Accounting/ERP system.

 

Position type: Interim 3 days per week to full time

Salary: £20k full time equivalent
