We are going the extra mile to help the less fortunate in a triathlon of events running up to Christmas.
From 1st September 2015 Rotherwood will be encouraging local people and businesses to donate any un-perishable food to be distributed to worthy causes, giving families a happier, healthier Christmas. As an incentive, we are offering free advertisement space in their window to any local businesses who may want to donate for the duration of the campaign.
Our teaching division will also be targeting local schools across Yorkshire and Lancashire to encourage the staff and children to donate food to the less fortunate.
We want to help the homeless, hungry and unemployed this winter as we come face to face with these issues everyday.
Not only will we be helping the hungry – three training days have been scheduled by manager Patrick Illingworth who will pass on his advice about how to secure a job through a series of workshops. These sessions will cover confidence, communication, presentation skills, how to write a CV and how to sell your self in an interview. The workshops will be held at our offices on Wednesday 30th September, Wednesday 28thOctober and Wednesday 25th November.
Finally, in a bid to raise money for the homeless Patrick will be forfeiting a night of comfort in a sponsored sleep out without food, drink or technology; just a sleeping bag. The date is yet to be announced.
We would love for people, businesses and schools from across the country to get involved. We want to encourage a real sense of community with this campaign.
