Our client, based in beautifully appointed offices in Burnley with wonderful scenic views over the canal, are seeking a Tax Senior to work three to four days per week in their comfortable, modern offices.
An experienced or Qualified Tax Senior who has previously worked in a private practice. Responsible for all areas of tax work and advising and meeting with clients both on and off site. Required to pursue objectives toward continuing professional development (CPD).
Specifically, will be required to ensure the smooth workflow of client work using appropriate workflow management tools co-ordinate the day-to-day demand v supply "state of play" position across the business and provides a forecast view ahead. To manage the Tax functions and negotiate with, and engage, colleagues throughout the business.
·At least five years’ experience gained within a UK accounting firm
·Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and encourage colleagues
·Proficient in a wide range of accounting software
·A good working knowledge of PAYE, personal and company tax and statutory filing
·The ability to prepare tax computations and statutory documents
·Ability to communicate technical issues to clients in a way they can understand easily
·Ability to work to scheduled deadlines and within time and fees structure
·Preparing tax returns and other tax filings
·Dealing with client and HMRC issues & queries
·Provide real-time visibility of workload challenges.
·Ensure the smooth workflow of client work using appropriate workflow management tools to co-ordinate the day to day demand v supply “state of play” position across the business and provide a forecast view ahead.
·Manage the tax teams on a day to day basis, ensuring efficient effective work processes are adhered to.
·Maximise resource efficiency through optimisation to ensure the most consistent service to clients
·Ensuring that all of the team are kept up to date of changes to standards, legislation etc
21 – 28 hours per week (days to be agreed)
