Our client specialises in the service, test and repair of anaesthetic vaporizers and the service and test of blood warming equipment. Our customers are NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK and also UK based veterinary practices. They operate a Quality Management System that conforms to ISO 13485 and we have an excellent reputation in all areas of the medical equipment industry.
We now have an opportunity for a Service Technician to join our experienced and dedicated team.
This is a permanent position based in their facility in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Working closely with their customer services team, you will service and test a range of anaesthetic equipment to industry standards, for which full training will be given.
The position involves working in hospital operating theatres and in veterinary practices and you will be expected to work away from home with overnight stays when required.
Previous experience in a technical, engineering or maintenance of medical equipment role would be an advantage.
*Full time 37 hours per week
*Permanent position, there will be a probationary period of three months within which the notice period for both you and and the client is one week. After the successful completion of your probationary period, the notice period will be one month.
*Due to the nature of this post, you will be required to work flexibly and may be required to work additional hours as are reasonably necessary to perform your duties and meet the needs of our customers. Applicant must be happy to work away when required and a clean driver’s licence is essential.
*In addition to your salary, you will be entitled to overtime when necessary at 1.5 x your hourly rate and use of a company vehicle. You will have 23 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. Expenses are also payable when you are required to stay over on site. Bonuses may be payable and are dependent on company performance.
