Rotherwood Teachers are looking to Urgently Recruit an RE Specialist who need to be familiar with the Catholic ethos. This role is for an immediate start teaching KS3/4 Full time until July .
Duties will include;
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
Teaching of Religious Studies to students in the Secondary School in line with the schemes of work and subject specifications as adopted within the department.
Preparation and presentation of lessons of suitable content, level and interest to engage pupils throughout the age range.
Marking of pupils’ work.
Implementing Assessment for Learning strategies in line with the school’s policy and adding to the department’s implementation of the Assessing Pupil Progress initiative.
Keeping records of the standard achieved by pupils in their work and using those records and other available data to set targets for pupils.
Grading of pupils and writing of reports on pupils and to provide next steps to encourage student progression

Hold a valid teaching qualification such as a PGCE, QTS or QTLS
Provide details of at least two referees covering the last 5 years' work history
Possess a current criminal record check (Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the online update service) or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration
Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
Be willing to complete a face to face registration and satisfy several checks
